I'm looking for some advice on good dive sites and a good outfitter to get us there. Me and my fiancé just finished out NAUI cert and are going to the British Virgin Islands in June. We are looking to use our new skills and would like to dive for two of the days we are there. Any advice is appreciated.

Where are you staying? On Virgin Gorda I recommend DiveBVI regularly. There's a lot of good shallower diving in among the islands, DiveBvi lists depths in their site descriptions. Thumb Rock and Chimney would be two good dives you could easily do - really most of the diving there isn't particularly deep.

I don't have a recommendation for a dive op, but here is my REPORT of my trip to the BVI, with descriptions and photographs of some of the dive sites. We had a really good time there.

I'm staying just off of Tortola on Scrub Island. I looked into DiveBVI and it looks to be the best fit. Thanks for the feedback!

It will be easy for you to hook up with DiveBVI, as I think they have a tie-in with the Scrub Island Resort. DiveBVI is a great outfit; I've enjoyed a lot of dives with them!

Yes, if you are on Scrub, it wouldn't make much sense to use anyone other than Dive BVI. They are a good outfit. I imagine you'll do most of your diving on The Dogs, but hopefully you'll get a chance to see the Rhone and Chikuzen as well.

Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.
