I'm a Fish!
I have the opportunity to purchase:

Scubapro first stage (2 HP 4 LP)
Scubapro second stage Model (Air1)
Scubapro second stage Model (109 adjustable)
us divers second stage model unknown
Tusa gauges with Tusa knife on back

these items are a few years old and i realize that i need to get them serviced, but is $100 to much to pay for this equipment? Fast responses appreciated

$100 is reasonable assuming all can be serviced. The Mk5 and 109 should not be a problem. If the Air1 diaphragm is OK, there should be no problem servicing it either.

I think $100.00 USD a bit high considering they need to be serviced.
Add roughly $75.00 to service three stages.

A few years old?
Scuba Pro hasn't made a 109 in probably 30 years if not more.
The Air 1 is getting up in years as well.

I think $100 is a good price including 2 gauges and if the R109 has good condition exhaust tee and diaphragm. Check to see if they are in good shape.

It depends.

As the others have said, if they're serviceable, then it's not a bad deal. It's not a smoking hot deal, but not a bad deal.

The Mk5 and 109 are highly prized by a lot of people who appreciate the benefits they have to offer, so you wouldn't be getting something with no residual value.

Show us some pics after you haggle the purchase price down by half. :D

This stuff is for fix it yourself people. Air 1 parts pop up, rarely. The seats are an issue, I remake my own. Diaphragms last a very long long time unless you tear them. It is becoming sought after, in EC or MINT. See if they have the purge lock key? The USD may be collectable if you knew what it was. The Air 1 is the more practical version of a reg USN tested best breather ever. A thirty year old test? My 1940s Porpoise single hose still works well. Getting a bit long in the tooth though? Original diaphragm in the first and second?

The seat for an Air1 is the same as those for a D-series reg so that is not a problem. The diaphragm and clip are hard to come by so check those.

Jgoodstein,

One of my hobbies is buying, rebuilding and selling SP regulators on eBay. I would consider that an OK deal, but if you have to get them serviced you'll have to factor that in. As the crowd has pointed out; it's a fair deal if you're into DIY or know a very honest repair facility willing to take it on. Most dive shops, even the ones who sell and service SP are likely to give you grief over it.
