The thing about wetsuit purchase is that fit is everything, which you may already know. This means trying on lots of suits, as each company seems to have a different cut and proportions. If you're planning on buying a suit at your dive destination, you may be put in the uncomfortable (literally!) position of having to buy a suit that doesn't quite fit because there isn't one available that really fits. Just a thought, to me this would be more important than getting the best deal.
Since your post said "may need to buy" I suspect that you've thought of this and have no alternative. If that's the case, and you can't find something that really, really fits, try to get by on renting or consider a shorty because they're easier to fit. Most people can dive comfortably even in the winter in Cozumel in a shorty, although if you're diving 3-4 tanks/day over a few days, better have a thermos of hot tea for those chilly surface intervals.
