First of all Fran Marcoux of Cape Ann Charters runs a great boat. He took us out by himself, no crew, and did an outstanding job. He understands divers. He's always there, ready to help. When I went to pick up my gloves, he was there ready to help me put them on. Same thing with my fins. It was as if everyone had their own personal dive butler. Fran understands what customer service is all about. Give him a call for your next dive (508) 873-8339.

Burnham's Ledge was outstanding. Visibility was 35+ feet, minor surface current and the ocean was lake smooth. 81 at the surface, 50 at the bottom. Lots of fish and other critters, a couple of divers saw a wolf eel, but I missed him.

The Polling was only slightly less outstanding. Surface conditions were about the same, vis at depth was down to 25+ feet (like I'm really complaining). Again there were lots of fish, including a good size school of Pollack.

These were the best cold water dives I've ever had. Even the more experienced divers said this was one of their best dives up north. Between the service onboard, and the conditions below, this was as easy and relaxing as a Caribbean dive.

These dives completed my advanced open water and nitrox certification, so I'm real happy about that. Our instructor was Ed King out of Aquatic Escapes in Londonderry. He took real good care of us too. He's the new store manager as well as a PADI instructor. So now AE has PADI as well as SSI and TDI. Good shop, stop by and tell Ed I sent you.

I've always had a great experience with Cape Ann Divers and would recommend them to anyone. I plan on diving with them a couple of times the week of July 17th.....

Just for clarification, 'Cape Ann Charters' runs the Daybreaker while 'Cape Ann Divers' runs the Cape Ann Diver II and Cape Ann Diver.
