Hey all,
Just had the chance to try out my new gear..in the pool. Hey, at least it was a calm, controlled environment. I just bougt a weight-integrated BC and also wanted to check out the difference between my full 7mil and my full 3/2. Since I've seen this come up recently, but can't seem to find the thread, here are some numbers.

Fresh water
Aluminum 80
Water temp 70f
Air pressure 1000psi
ScubaPro Nighthawk
Sherwood Maximus 1st,2nd, Octo and three-in-one console
I'm 6'0, 177lbs, 19% body fat.

7mil/hood/booties 14lbs
3/2 Full/no hood/same booties 6lbs

I was surprised at the difference and with a little more experience, I may be able to shed another pound or two. I realize those numbers will have to go up 4-5 lbs for salt water, but I was looking first at buoyance control (ended up going with no trim weight and dropping the tank down in the band a few inches to remain horizontal) and second the base difference between what I use here in SoCal for Cold Water diving and what I'll be using in Cancun this summer for Warm Water Diving.

Hope this helps someone and a special thanks to the guys I bought this equipment from. It is all used but was well taken care of and I had the regs rebuilt before I used them.
