I'm looking to put together a buoyancy obstacle course. Something simple to start with, so some buddies and I can do some pool stuff but still work on skills. I need to get some ideas with rough dimensions if possible. The stuff I saw on the post for the Largest obstacle course is the general direction but I am just after some stuff like the PVC rings and such. How big are they? I have seen bigger but I like the looks of them.

Any Ideas put them up.

In my buoyancy course, I remember the instructor laying out some line that was attached to 2 posts - kind of like an underwater volleyball net. I then had to follow the line while "kissing" it with my reg. You could do this with multiple turns and/or heights. If not in a pool, you could just jam the posts/stakes into the ground, or rig up some pole with a weight on the bottom if you will be in a pool.

Hula hoop suspended in water column with a piece of rope and weight. You can make multiples and put them at different levels.

You can make lots of stuff with pvc pipe, just don't use the glue. A "jungle gym type configuration can be a great buoyancy practice aid. Make the squares (or cubes) 3 feet in diameter. Use as a frame for horizontal hover, vertical hover, inverted hover, swim-throughs, etc. Not expensive at all, and can be disassembled for easy transport.
