Just a quick update. About 45 minutes after I posted, "screw it", and had vowed to enter the dark and scary world of intrigue the doc called and said that my approval letter would be waiting at the front desk. It takes 10 minutes to get there from my office. I made it in 5.

I am stoked! I went to my second night of class. Gear assembly and the rule governing the properties of gases. Pools skills were mask drills, regulator drills and air sharing. After we had mastered air sharing the lead instructor told the DIVECON, "That skill's for next week!".

I will share the note with my wife to assure here that I am not circumventing proper medical guidance, not that I would ever do that! But for now she's POed at me anyway.
