I'm a Fish!
This video by one of our PURP members Bob Erlach shows a lone bull kelp growing in Stillwater Cove, finally!!
After so many years of nothing but urchin barrens this is huge! It’s not planted either like they are doing at Fort Ross and Timber Cove, this is natural spawn that made it’s way into the cove.
A year ago this area was a complete barren, a purple carpet with nothing growing.
Look at all the undergrowth now!
