I managed to get my hands on a 4 stage pump and a love joy.
I looking for info from some of you guys that have made your own compressors.
I need to get a filter system and a fill whip any Ideas where I can get on.
I also have to decide wether to use a gas or elec motor. I have both.
I want to do a air quality test and when completed. to make sure the air is pure.Does anyone have any ideas where to get this done?
Also any suggestions or problems you ran into or herd of would be great too.
Thanks
Fred

I`m also thinking of building one and find it hard to find info on the issue.

I beleive a four stage pump is the way to go.Where did u find it?
Filler yokes and filter stacks is easy to get from a scuba supplier.
Air test can be done by diving compressor supplier/installer or by an industrial co.

I was actually thinking of getting a cheap, small oiless compressor used for painting and hooking it up with a booster pump but havent found an ol seadog to ask if this is sheer lunacy or if it just wont have the desirable fill rate.

I want to build a comp , it has to produce good hydrocarbon-free air for gas blending otherwise Id would be better off filling up at the shop!

I found the Pump on ebay.it was a great unit. But I get my air for free right now so I decided not to build my own and sold it.
