I was trying to gauge bug appearances around Gloucester. I was planning on taking my son on a CAD trip in early June and did not know if the bugs will be there. If it is slow, then we were actually planning on the following Friday with the wreck dives - at least interesting even if not bugs. Any experience for this time of year?

The bugs will be there. They are always there. They are not like geese. They may roam but they don't migrate. I've gotten bugs year round. In the fall they molt and hide until their shells harden.
You may see less in sept, oct. but they are there. Good hunting.
