Would like to take advantage of the upcoming 60 degree weather to go for a dip tomorrow (Thurs).

Anyone been diving Cape Ann in the past week? I think I saw one report that listed 49 degrees, which is doable (also saw the person wearing my saw semidry Pinnacle Polar).

More importantly, any bugs still popping their heads out? I've had luck in January, but never in March, so am hoping they might still be hanging around. Only saw crabs in the other dive report...

I have not been diving for 2 weeks, but 2 weeks ago at Cat there were bugs below about 40 feet. The temp had warmed to 49 degrees (it was 46 degrees the week prior).

These temps are crazy warm.

I also think you're crazy to be diving that in anything other than a drysuit! Holy crap dude bring the cocoa or coffee.

Yeah, it's not too much fun when involuntary muscle paralysis takes over. I remember climbing up to my car at Folly's one year in March when I tried to take a step halfway up and just knew that I wasn't going to be able to complete it. Gravity kind of took over at that point and I slowly toppled backwards and fell about 15' with all my gear on. My wife who saw the whole thing was pretty horrified at the time, but admitted later that it was pretty funny watching it happen.

My regular buddy has backed out, unfortunately, so I'm looking for a buddy to go out tomorrow around late morning-noonish, when it's warmed up a bit. Anyone who doesn't have a day job? I share lobsters....

Bugs at 40 feet, 47 degree water temp. Outside of House Island off Manchester. Got three keepers in one tank and a few eggers that were also legal (released of course). Vis was great, could see the boat from 30 feet down the anchor line. Totlly warm under and above, drysuit and minimal undergarments. Forgot to get air before the holidays or we would have done three tanks.

Have fun.
