Budget Lights

Looking for suggestions on lights for the diver on a budget (ME). Looking to spend $500 or less, i'm leaning towards LED, HID is out because i dont want to have to wait for the bulb to warm up and then cool off before being used again. Will mainly be used for deeper OW, low viz dives and peeking in cracks and crevices.

I've been looking at Nocturnal Lights SLX, any other suggestions?

If you are just using it for recreational diving, it is tough to beat the Intova 3W LED. You can find them for under $50.

I've been using a Princeton Tec Torrent it puts out about 105 lumens. How much brighter would this light be?

10w DiveRite HID in the $500 range. With about 3hrs on a charge you just turn it on and leave it on - no need to worry about waiting for it to warm/cool.

Dove with this light on every dive recently in Bonaire.
