We will be staying at Buddy's 2nd week of Nov. Does anyone know if they will have the damage from Omar repaired by then? Did they lose any boats?

I emailed Buddy Dive shortly after the storm, this is the response:

Re: our dock
It's true, we have suffer some minor damage, but by the time you will be here we hope to have finish the dock/pier.
If that is not the case, our boat will leave from the marina (Harbour Village Marina) twice a day for our 1-tank / 2-tank boat dives.

To be honest, I didn't ask them if they had any boat damage. I hope it is all back to normal (mostly anyway) soon. I arrive for my first trip to Bonaire on November 1 and I can't wait.

I would guess that they would do all they could to get everything up and running again as soon as possible. From what I have read the economy really relies on the dive tourism so that should be a big priority.

I don't remember hearing about any boat damage, just to both docks (seen it with my own eyes). Minor damage? That is funny, look at the pics I posted this morning in the other thread...

I saw pictures on Bonaire Talk of Omar that were captioned as being of the Buddy Dive dock, or at least where the dock formerly was. That's why I emailed them, I was worried. But I feel alot better now that I know that there is at least a ladder there to get in and out of the water. I can't wait to get there, I am getting bid from plow companies to do our parking lot at work. I so don't want to be thinking about snow yet.
