Buddy Preferences

Pipedope would like to dive with my 16 year old.

She can spend the entire dive on a 6 foot section of reef - just looking!

And what is wrong with that?? Depending on where you are diving that might be all the section that has life in it. Some places off the beach around here dont have much life in, except one area that is about 20x20ft, spent an hour on that section twice.

I dive half the time with guys (off SB) and half the time with one girl (GF) - i am more partial to the latter and i arrange trips with the former group.

The best/ worst I ever did was get six foot from the anchor and found a great pice of coral lots of fish swimming around so I spent the entire dive right there taking photos never moved,
Wife/buddy was very upset with me. "What did I do" it works sometimes

Never mind. I was being a very very bad girl.

All through my OW course I preferred to dive with the two women involved (one of whom is my wife ) much more than the other guys, both of whom I know. The guys were awkward in the water, unconcerned about buoyancy (I'll just drop to the bottom and not worry about it), and forgot what the concept of "buddy" means. There is nothing more frustrating than a buddy who doesn't pay attention to where they are and where their buddy is.

Basically I think that almost any thread on this board would be a good case study. There is always a branch going this way and that. But it's fun.
