There is some concern at the moment over the new Galapagos Buddy boats, that are still being held in their construction yard in Guayaquil while some unexpected last minute issues are being resolved. They have been out on sea trials and are apparently fast and lovely boats, but they are not yet in Galapagos.

That rather throws a wrench in the works for those who are already there or who have plans to join these boats in the next few weeks. At the moment they anticipate the boats will be in operation by the end of the month but that may leave some in the air over their bookings this month.

For those who cannot change plans, here is the latest update on available space in Galapagos for September. You can book or get more details thru our office in the US or to me Europe, or you can book direct with the Galapagos Sky for their dates. However if you have the good fortune to join the Aggressor trip for Sep 8, you will get 60% discount off their full rate - this is a private charter and you will need to book it thru our office.

Sep 4-11 7 nights Galapagos Sky 1 space dlx male share
Sep 8-19 11 nights Aggressor II 3 spaces in Delux @ 60% Off = $2900
Sep 18-25 7 nights Galapagos Sky 1 male dlx + 1 female dlx + 1 female master
Sep 25-Oct 2 7 nights Galapagos Sky 1 male space dlx + 3 spaces master

We sincerely hope that the Buddy boats will shortly be in full operation as we have charters on them in October, but we will keep you updated on the status as we hear more.

Galapagos seems to be a dynamic place at the moment - no sooner than taking care of the above 2 divesr from Japan, then we get another cancelation and so we now have following spaces. For anyone caught up in the Buddy Crisis, thsi could be an excellent option to consider. Hopefully by October we can put this all behind us. Dom@DiveAdvice.com
