So, Mr. G. is the guy you want for your instructor, if you want to get serious and comprehensive TEC oriented training of any type at Buddy Dive. If you want take a higher level course from him, you had better hope that your other instructors did a good job with you.

Good to know there is fundies available in Bonaire. Maybe my wife can retake her fundies there :-) and for sure if I ever visit Bonaire again I'll look him up.. windjammer is on my list.

Bonaire is great for TEC training. You have 140+ feet right off of Buddy Dive's dock for example. The rock has 180+ with an easy entry unlike oil slick. I chose it over Florida as you don't have to worry about the boat dives, weather, etc.

Okay, that makes sense to me.

Has anyone on the board done any Tec Training with Technical Diving Services over at Caption Dons? Any reviews to share? Apologize if this is a high jack....

I forgot to mention something else buddy is now doing. TEC trips to Klein Bonaire via scooter. We didn't have time to do it, but it sounds like fun. 15 feet under the surface until you get there.

Update: I got notice that doubles are $132/week.

That's consistent with the $22 / day quoted in their price list, for 6 days. You should ask how much you'll to pay for unlimited gas bottles. They list twice the normal weekly rate for side mount doubles, so it's probably the same for backmount twins. That's an additional $175 / week on top of the $132. That works out to ~$50/day extra for a twinset.

I can't see myself jumping into the water at oil slick with doubles and a sling 80 tank under my left arm.:):):):yeahbaby::yeahbaby::yeahbaby::D:D:D

Walking on the uneven iron shore at oil slick is not pleasant with doubles. I have not done a giant stride off the deck. There was the diver that complained that I "splashed" her with my doubles when I got in the water after coming down the steps. I wasn't sure whether or not to take her seriously.
