The Brownstone staff is please to announce that effective April 1, the quarry will be open to divers. Currently, there is a $10 fee per diver, per day. The quarry will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday's and Sunday's with additional hours to be announced soon. As a reminder, only certified divers with valid certification cards may dive. Hello Captain

Is the $10 in effect all summer. At that price its a real deal. I hope to dive there soon.

Also can we keep any neat artifacts found (bottles etc)provided they are not historic which should be left alone. There has to be loads of stuff still down there. I gave my milk bottle I found to a milk bottle collector who was really grateful for it.

From across the bridge.

damn....wish I lived across the bridge..would be there every day this summer...

I think I will be under that Quarry ,this summer, more than I am on dry land... It's nice to live 700ft away..

And yes Chris, bottles and other fun goodies are all yours, besides, Frank is too cheap to get a garbadge can.. Frank also has dibbs on anything historic, and I have dibbs on Jessica Alba..

Chris

I have dibs on one of the slot machines....

Guys,

I don't have anyone to dive with! If I just show up there on some Saturday or Sunday morning, can I just hang about until I hook on with someone? Anyone else in the same situation willing to buddy up? I can't wait to get back into the water and I would love to check the place out.

I am sure you will find someone...they usually have people there who are willing to buddy up...

I do believe Frank had a garbage can there last weekend. It was a garbage can wasn't it? It just wasn't a GARBAGE CAN like you helped out with last summer.

If any artifacts from the quarrying era show up, like pre 1940 Frank and Ed may want to hold on to those. Lot's of items since them still exist to be hauled out and claimed though. Have we got a deal on a used car for you...

"Idon't have anyone to dive with!"

Firts thanks for the kind response I'll be looking forward to beating the heat waves this summer in the quarry.

As for buddies, I am sure there will be plenty of people looking to team up. I hope all goes well and the quarry becomes a great success. By coincidence my buddy whose grandfather (Mr Hall) owned part of the quarry won a year pass to the quarry at the frozen fin dive. I still jokingly tell him he has a claim to the quarry.

Take care all

Chris
