I just don't log dives
Over the last few years I am noticing what appears to be a brown alga growing over the sandy areas around the reefs on Cozumel. I don't remember this being so common ten or more years ago but that may just be bad memory. But it is very obvious on the sand areas around the southern reefs. Anybody have a notion on what this represents, it is almost a mat on the sand surface. This area is too far from town to be influenced by runoff etc.
