I recently broke my back paragliding. I want to get attentional Padi cards that will work towards my master diver cert. Are there any Padi courses that do not require being in the water?

- Enriched Air Nitrox
- Equipment specialist
- EFR - Emergency First Response

You could also take the SSI Science of Diving class.
It will not make you a PADI Master Diver but it will make you a greater diver!

You don't need master diver for anything... paying needlessly for courses that don't fit into your plans of diving is silly just to have the title of master diver. Especially if you don't have the time underwater to back that up.

To stay ontopic though..
Dive theory which is a prereq for going professional.

Does anyone know the max amount of non dive courses one can take to count towards a master diver cert?
There is no maximum. But you do need an instructor signature to get MSD, and I would not sign an application with all non-diving specialties.
It is Master Scuba Diver, not Master Diver; the former is the cert name, the latter is something in the Navy.
Could be wrong, but I think all PADI specialties count toward Master Diver.
NONE count toward Master Diver (see above); all count toward Master Scuba Diver.
Gas blender?
Yes.
- EFR - Emergency First Response
No, it is not a specialty.

LOL. Tell you what: go get your MSD, and then go tell a real Master Diver that you are one too.
this is like a doctor freaking out if you accidentally announce his name as "Mr. ..." "I didn't spend 4 years in med school to be called Mr. !!!"

Hate to burst your Navy Master Diver bubble.. however, SSI, & SDI both call em Master Divers
