I have been filming with the Amphibico Dive Buddy Evo HD Elite for the past twelve months, and while I was in the kitchen today the trigger button on the housing suddenly flew across the room! The button is made from plastic and has simply sheared off, leaving the remnants adhered to the metal post on the housing, and the button cover and spring in my hand.
Has anybody replaced one of these buttons themselves? I am working with this housing every day and don't really want to send it away for repair especially when I imagine Amphibico are going to recommend that I replace the entire electronic arm! I have several friends who could manufacture a replacement button for me, but have some hesitation in taking the electronic arm apart....
I would appreciate any advice! Thanks!
