You gotta look at it from the sellers POV as well. I love watching those bids rocket up during the last couple of hours....nothing makes me happier than watching that price approach MSRP :)

So you're a sniper. nice. That is a good strategy.
Back when I was an addict I did the same thing.
And I always made my bid end with some odd cents.
Nothing like beating someone by 12 cents.

Didn't eBay change their system so if someone places a bid at the
last second it extends the auction for something like 10 or 30 seconds?

NO, thank God. I believe Yahoo Auctions does that.

this is not really a whine but more of an observation. NEVER think that just because its on Ebay it a good deal. I was looking a Garmin E-Map GPS unit. They were regularly selling for 10%-15% more than store prices.

I've never seen this happen. Nothing in the scope right now. Still hunting.

It pays to research before you bid.

MEM Pilot,
I don't blame you for not posting that auction info here. From a buyers POV, the fewer people that know about the auction, the better. As a seller, obviously, the more the merrier.
Congrats on the great deal. Good for you!

BTW, there is this great auction going right now. It's a gently abused Barbie...
