Hopes of finding a British tourist who disappeared while scuba diving in the Red Sea in Egypt are fading, rescuers have said.
Three boats have been searching an area eight miles south of the Red Sea port town of Safaga where the diver was last seen on Saturday.
The 45-year-old Briton, who has not been named, was among a group of 12 British scuba divers.
The rest of the group made it safely to shore.
Essam Mahran, in charge of rescue operations with the Red Sea Association for Diving and Marine Activities said the tourist was an expert diver.
But he said the "chances of finding him alive are weak".
The Red Sea, which borders several countries, is one of the most popular diving and snorkelling environments in the world.
It has around 1,000 species of fish and 150 species of coral, attracting thousands of divers every year.
Fatal scuba diving accidents occasionally happen in the Red Sea.
Briton Alan Costello, 52, from St Helens in Merseyside, died in May last year while exploring a shipwreck off the coast of Sharm el Sheikh with an experienced dive guide.
