Scott, I asked this question in another post on 4/6/07, but no response. Does Zeagle have a breathing resistance kit that will upgrade Envoy regs? If so, please list the part number?

Thanks in advance.

I would like more details on what exactly the breathing resistance kit is please.
I like my Envoy regs, but they can be a bit tempermental/sensitive sometimes.

Scott please correct me if I am wrong!!

Looking at the Envoy/ZX schematics The only kit you are going to need is the
342-0226-AA : Spring Adjust Knob Assembly
160-0011-N7 : O-ring (for spring adjust knob)

The ZX has some more bits on it than the Envoy but if you just want just to play with your breathing resistance you only need to swap out the above parts.

If you do decide to do this I would suggest a factory trained tech or someone that knows what they are doing. I have seen plenty of bent bits from divers attempting to play with the Envoy and ZX second stages without a basic understanding their workings.

Cheers
Chriso

Chriso and Scott, thanks for responding and providing the parts numbers. I am upgrading my Envoy regulator as follows; 1) adding adjustable breathing resistance kit to priminary second stage regulator, 2) adding your 48" LP hose and 90 degree elbow (PN 340-1003) to route the primary second stage LP hose under my right arm.

The Flathead, 50D, DSV and Envoy Deluxe have a fine tuning knob on the second stage that let's the diver adjust the breathing resistance for easier breathing as you move up and down the water column.

The free flow lever is used to control free flows at the surface and the breathing resistance knob fine tunes breathing resistance and aids in controling free flows as you change depth in the water column.

My interest was adding this feature to my two Zeagle Envoys (primary and octo second phase).

Great thread, thanks for asking!! I didn't realize that a resistance knob could be added to the Envoy. I think I may ask ScubaToys if this is something they can do to my primary the next time I send it in for service. :D

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a great option. (great...something else to spend my hard earned instructor funds on)
