Breakdown Travel Pole spear

Anyone ever use a breakdown travel pole spear? They seem pretty expensive ($80 to $100) Are they worth it?

Was wondering what my travel options are for something compact to poke around with?

I have a JBL 2D72. It's a three piece spear pole that comes with two tips and a travel case. Packed very neatly in my checked baggage to the Bahamas and my son took it with him on his trip to Australia without any problem. If you are going to travel with it, I would recommend getting a couple of extra bands for insurance, don't want to ruin a trip having a band break.

Can't go wrong with this. It might cost a bit more, but it is an excellent spear.
