What brands of dry suits are good.. I was looking at a harveys but I wanted to check out some others also..

I use the Abyss Pro Kevlar -- http://www.abyssdivingsuits.com -- and it's the most impressive suit I've ever seen. You can get a custom fit suit for $1500Can including shipping (about $1000US) from Tam Dive (www.tamdive.com) in Toronto.

I use a custom fit O'Three compressed neoprene. Very comfortable and as durable as it gets. They will make exacly what you want, and have a heap of pocket options and even a P valve for the chaps!! The downside is they are far from cheap, but I know a lot of people with them and am yet to hear one complaint.

I recomend to go for Viking. I have posted this already in some other threads but since you are askin I can share with you my argument. There are three kinds of dry suit materials - neoprene, thrilaminate and vulcanised rubber. Viking Pro 1000 Nautic ( neoprene hood) or Military are the rubber ones. Advantages: good latex seals - you will stay dry at any depth. Durability, easy to repare - if damaged by exident you can repare itstreight away on site.Perfect displacement and system of out and inlet valves.
Disadvantage - amy feel a bit heavy and clumsy but it is OK underwater.

For more info I recomend to have a look here:http://www.divernet.com/gear/dsuit1098/oceanic.htm

I have a Northern Diver compressed neoprene and I would recommend them to anyone. They are very durable and also quite cheap as far as suits go.
