what i am probably going to end up doing is buying an octo retainer and bringing a short hose (or find out who my instructor is and ask him). But I was just worried about PADI fascism and figured it might confuse OW students if I offered them my primary as opposed to the octo. Yooper, I guess I didn't think of how easy it would be to defend DIR to a bunch of instructors. and I am not going to be concerned with getting a job in the diving industry--I just want to get more training.
