Love my new Transplate harness, Hammerhead BP/STA and Mach V wing. Just one problem; Where the heck do I attach my knife?

I have a Underwater Kinetics Blue Tang which has a 5" blade so it's pretty big. After my waist belt area gets two weight pouches (just 4 lbs to dump) and a spare pouch for my emrergency sausage & whistle - there's no palce to attach my knife!:shakehead:

What to do about that? Thigh strap..:no

You may want to consider getting a smaller knife, to be worn on your harness.

Ive got the same knife that I bought back when I did my AOW cert. I put it on my left waist belt right before the buckle. It also acts as the place that I tuck my 7' hose under before it comes up my left side. I had it on there with weight pockets and now without them, its narrow, there should be room....

I wear my knife upside down on either of my shoulder straps on the front. I prefer this to all other locations because, here, I can always see it, and I can always reach it as well.

You can also attach it behind your SPG.

It is popular on TV to put it on your lower leg.

Any of those positions works well, BPW or B/C.

Well there is a DIR answer and my answer. My old time sea hunt era diving makes it comfortable for me on the inside of my lower shin. (Just below the knee.)

There must be some space on your waist strap (left of the buckle when wearing the harness). I keep mine there, I prefer it upside-down because that way it's easier to pull out for me than the other way, and because sometimes the sheath would otherwise poke my leg when I was sitting down.

Some people prefer it on the forearm, thigh, calf, or in a pocket somewhere. For smaller knives, chest strap and light handle are also popular. The main thing is, if you get caught up in line, the knife should be easy to reach with either hand, but only using one of them since the other may be entangled. Also, the knife should not be placed so as not to be an entanglement hazard itself, and personally I prefer it to be part of the rig, rather than an extra piece of gear to don.

Go smaller and attach to corrogated hose.
