I had the grommet/bolt strap from Halcyon for a few years, but went back to this method this year.

I have one plate with the crotch strap bolted at the plate loop using ss fender washers, a small ss bolt and a ss nylock nut. The waist strap loop is formed using a ss weight belt keep for adjustment.
The other plate has a sewn loop for the waist strap and uses a ss weight belt keeper to secure the plate end loop for adjustment.
