Hey guys looking into a system BP-Harness Wing system for singles. I will be getting into tech and cave diving so im looking for a harness/BP system that i can stick with like the company i dont like switching cause then i have to get used to something eles i rather get used to one thing and stick with it you know?

Thanks for the help guys

Pretty much any harness/bp is going to suffice. If you're going to travel and switch between warm/cold water you might like an AL plate as well as SS. The real options are in your STA, I like a heavy one but I'm mostly diving dry so if I lose the weight of one of my tanks I need something to help keep me down without adding it all to a weightbelt.

As for the wings there are two schools of thought. If money is no object get a singles wing and a doubles wing when you get to that point. The RecWing or other such multi-use wings are ok, but I don't have any issues with stringing it with the included bungies to negate the potential for tacoing as it seems some folks do.

money is not really an issue cause of future jobs and stuff i live in canada so i dont deal much with the u.s but i have heard getting it shiped in is alot cheaper then buying in canada still so ima do that. Im just looking for options and stuff to study dont know where to start so

Chris,

I would take a look at the Halcyon Eclipse. You can also get it with a convertible STA, so you can remove the weight when your traveling. Its a great all around Backplate/wing. I have one myself and love it. Just my two cents.

Chris. we're pretty much in the same situation i just started diving about a year ago an adopted the BP/W system as well as the longhose.. what i can whole heartedly suggest is speak with Barry from Salvo.. He's been nothing but great in terms of service and the quality of products are on par with all of the best.. www.salvodiving.com

I'm not associated with him just a happy customer

I'm glad you filled out your profile, remember take it slow. the technical dives will come!

I agree with the last post. I have a Halcyon ss bp & eclipse wing + 6# sta. with canister light + the other essentials little or no wt. on my hips depending on the wet suit (7mm, or 3) I haven't started diving dry yet. I love the rig. I chose the eclipse over the pioneer for durability reasons.
