I've searched on this board as well as strained my eyesight looking at pics on several DIR sites. I have yet to find detailed instructions on how to make the crotch strap. It’s either because it is so simple no one would need to ask or possibly because most BP newbie’s buy the unit as a complete kit... Your help would be sincerely appreciated.

Specifically
Should I use a 1inch or 2inch material?

Should the loop be sewn or otherwise non-adjustable (I believe I have seen it both ways)

If non-adjustable what is the best method to secure it?

If it is adjustable:
What do you do to minimize the loop diameter on new webbing?

Where should the adjustment location be (front or rear?)

How much additional material should remain at the end of the strap after it has gone through the adjustment location?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Personal I use a 2inch CS as a smaller 1inch I think would be too small.

Mine is adjustable at the front, seems to make sense as I can wear it and seea nd adjust the front but the back I can't see, so it's fixed.

2cents worth

Thinking about the smaller 1inch strap and the "equipment" that could be affected :0 does not sound good. I will stay with the 2inch.

Thanks
