I have seen/heard/read a couple of things regarding a bounty on lionfish. Here in South Florida we get a few reports of them every year, hell if you watch channel 7 the lionfish and snakeheads are taking over the world!
Anyway, I checked out the NOAA website and I cannot find anything defnite, just an old research paper that discussed the feasibility of such a bounty.
Long story a little bit shorter, I am going out this weekend so if anyone has any info on this supposed bounty I would love to hear it.

Check out Reef.org. They have a page for reporting non native species.
