I bought a used set of Force Fins Pro on ebay (only $70!) with the bungee straps. If i wear them bear food there is a some wobble and of course when i move my food side to side. I adjusted the bungee all the way tight which helped. Will the comfort instep make it tighter? I tried the fins on with a pair of winter socks and it was much better ( dont own boooties). Also what booties should i try or maybe take the fins down to the LDS to try with booties? I'd love to get away with wearing them barefoot as i will be diving warm water only.

Thanks.

Add the comfort insteps and it will be fine. The insteps will take up room both at the top and sides and you should be fine. You probably will find that they won't work with booties, unless you use very thin soled, 2-3 mm - and even then, they might be too small (I wore my XLs with a 3 mm light soled boot and I wear a size 10).

My wife wears her FFs with insteps and bare feet and loves them for warm water diving. The insteps makes them very comfortable when barefoot.

should be close, I wear the XL with an instep barefoot regularly and I have a size 13.

Thanks for all the posts!
Every Force Fin user should own a pair of Comfort Insteps just on the ability to increase your size range through a variety of footwear. It is the smartest way to use one fin for different water environments and various diving duties.

It is also why I say to always size up to the biggest possible footwear size you might use with your Force Fins. For most of us I believe it would be for diving in a dry suit.

That puts 80% of the divers in a XXL and they use comfort insteps to size down.

Orenbvip- if you are looking for booties I recommend a side zip 5mm with a flexible sole, Xcel and Deep See make good ones, but as meesier42 pointed out it will be close to the fit with an XL Force Fin and your foot size. Thanks again for the post, good luck and safe diving!

I bought some insteps. 5mm is prob too thick. Ill try it barefoot as that would be ideal as i like to get into the water as fast as possible.

with booties you will be just fine, won't need the insteps
