After the last dive, my Uwatec bottom timer has been stuckin dive mode and won't clear. It's been soaked in fresh water and the contacts are clean and have no salt deposits. My husband took it on another dive to see if that would help clear it and nada.

Any ideas? We pretty much figure it's toast. But it's only a year old...

If it has a user replaceable battery you can try to remove and replace it so it re-boots.

My computer was doing the same thing a couple years ago. When we removed the battery we found out its expiration date was the year before we bought the computer. Changing the battery solved the problem.

PS, no bumping

Did you happen to fly to your destination and transport it in an air-tight case? The case can actually depressurize at altitude and then repressurize quickly when you open it. That can cause the timer to think it's diving when you open the case. Happened to me and it took forever to figure it out. Now I remove the o-ring from the case.

And, resetting with a battery removal would fix it I think.
