I recently bought the new Isotherm (it's awesome). I've seen the trilastic gloves that are supposed to have the same metalskin seal stuff which I think would allow less water in the sleeves? My main question is about the boots - are there boots right now that would mate well with the ankle seals? I feel like no-zipper boots would work best but the only ones I've seen like that are Henderson Hyperstretch. Do the Mares trilastic boots also have the metalskin or do any of the other Mares boots? Thanks!

Rachel,
The Trilastic gloves have been very popular with many dealers due to their comfort. The preformed pattern of the hand is very ergonomic resulting in a very comfortable glove. The Trilastic material offers extreme give and flexibility. Due to the multi thickness of the glove ex; 5mm on the top and 3mm on the bottom offers great dexterity. These gloves were also designed to coordinate with our trilastic models of wetsuits. With the open cell rubber mating with the metalskin on the cuffs of our wetsuits makes for a very dry seal. Note with the Isotherm you are supposed to roll the cuffs under. Which means the Trilastic glove will not perform the same function as they do with our other suits. The Trilastic gloves can still be used with the Isotherm, they just don't seal like they do with the others.

The Trilastic boots do not have open cell neoprene and are not designed to mate to the suits like gloves. They are excellent boots though. Zipper on the side for easy donning and doffing, Trilastic panels for extra give and flex, arch support for comfort, and a tough sole which helps prevent penetration from foreign objects. The rigid sole also offers better support through the kick cycle providing a more power transfer to the fin. And last but not least, a built in strap retainer on the back of the boot. This will assist in keeping the fin strap up where it should be.

Hope this helps,
