Booties and socks

Hi, I have just brought a pair of boots for my fins and they are just a little bit big but the sizes either side would be worse. Is there some kind of sox I can were or would normal sox be OK? I am thinking of extra warmth as I am diving in about 16 degrees

I used to wear heavy wool hiking socks during colder months for warmth. If you are using socks, it is important to choose wool or another material that retains warmth when wet.

Now I use fleece-lined neoprene socks. You can usually find these in hunting or fishing stores here in the US...not sure about the UK. Retail price for the neoprene socks is US$15-20. I've used under my wetsuit booties them in water as cold as 40F and they have kept my feet quite warm.

Thank you for the Info. I have a pair of woolen socks, but will also get some neoprene ones the threads talk about them a lot.
