They are looking for a missing fisherman in Lake Pend Oreille. He went missing on Wednesday. They found the small boat but he is ????

It’s just a small lake of 94600 acres. Now I think we are about equal for missing people in that lake between the two counties. It’s around 4 and 4. Sucks that we can’t find them because the vis is so good. 100’+ of vis is not unusual at all.

Looks like another trip for the SS.

Let’s just keep the problems up there.

Gene and Sandy came up with the SS and started searching for this guy. After a couple of search days they located him in 160' and recovered with the ROV He was way further north than expected.

I don't know if one of my team members is pulling my leg or not but this is the info I got from him.

The victim was tied to a weight on the bottom. The county has already ruled it a suicide. ???????????????????????????????????

Stranger things have happened.

I'll post more on that one when I get it.

Tomorrow we will again search for our missing boater. We had a target last time so tomorrow the ROV goes down to take a look. We need to round up at least 4000' of anchor line. The water depth is over 800' at the target.

well gary wear did you find him was he by the old slide area just north of the old faraget state park swimming area , man for got how to spell been so long since I have been back there , grew up on that lake till age 16 my dad was one of the base comanders at the david Tayler acustic navy base there in bayview, is any of that still around.

Well. it was suicide. Just seemed funny that he went the way he did with witnesses close by. All the info leading to suicide was withheld until the recovery.

The base is still there and bigger than ever. We got to see the Navy's new Stealth Destroyer today. All I can say is me being an old Fletcher Class Tin Can Sailor that thing is &%$*HY^$* KUEL. I'd go back in for duty on her.

The guy that was just recovered was off Anderson Point just south of the Long Bridge south of Sandpoint. The one we are looking for now is right off of Cape Horn near the Barge. We got shut down today because our target is at 530' and all we had was 500' of ROV cable.

So to burn some time we ROVed a big boat sunk in 1987 in 140'. No big deal, it was a Midnight Viking Funeral. We are going to dive her in a couple of weeks just for poops and giggles.

These folks that want to comit suicide need to leave a mental history trail, an I'm out of here note and just blow your brains out in a local location easy to clean up. Don't cost us a ton of money and risk a lot of other lives trying to find and recover their sorry ***.

I still feel very bad for the family that has to go through this.
