I am looking at purchasing a Bonica strobe. The part of the strobe housing that mounts to the arm looks rather spindly to me. Has anyone had problems with these breaking?

I did a search on flooding issues with the Bonica strobes and only two posts were returned with the search and both of them were your posts.
Can you please expound further on these flooding issues? I surely do not want to make my purchase until I compile all relevant data.
