On a recebt dive vacation I left the car keys (remote included) in my pocket. Didn't realize this untill I opened my b.c. pocket and no key. When I found them I was sure I would be buying a new remote for the rental car. To my surprise the trunk opened and then I tried the doors and they worked also. I was quite surprised and pleased as well. I don't recommend trying this but if you do, hopefully it will be a chrysler product. they take a dippin (even to 90+ ft)and keep on ticken.

WHAT BONE HEAD THINGS HAVE YOU LEFT IN YOUR POCKETS WHILE DIVING?

well, my friend had one of those waterproof cases for her cash and card, and we heard this loud pop at 107 ft and kept looking around for massive bubbles....back on the boat, she pulled shards of plastic out of her pocket..it had imploded!

Speaking of Chrystler, I am always knocking American cars but I rented a Pacifica and I really love it. It drives like a dream..maybe I am getting old enough that cushy suspension feels nice.

I left my remote starter in a dry box which leaked. I was not so fortunate. Had to replace the remote.

Since then, the remote stays IN the car, and the key comes with me.

I left my remote in my pocket once. Rusty water poured out of it when I got back on the beach. I used the key to open the door. I then popped the hood and ripped the wires off the alarm. Nobody even looked. :)

I leave my clicker in my pocket all the time ... but then, I wear a drysuit ... :D

My bonehead maneuver was the time I didn't do that ... and ended up locking both sets of keys inside the car ... :11:

We rented a Dodge with a hemi in Ft. Lauderdale and it had some pickup. But the suspension doesn't compare to parent company's cars or the nicer Japanese cars like Lexus and Infiniti.

My bone head move was it decide not to take my cell phone out of my pocket, and then five minutes into the water I realized what I did. Smart huh?? Needless to say, the phone doesnt work. Oh well, you live and learn. :)

i just hide my keys everytime i go. Either in a tree or in some log. Its different everytime, and makes for an exciting treasure hunt after!
