Went to Bonaire in July for the first time and we stayed at Buddy Dive Resort. Our package included a rental truck so we were able to do a good mix of shore and boat diving. Ended up Doing 18 dives in 6 days. The northern sites were closed due to the stony coral disease they're trying to contain. The Salt Pier and Karpata were two of our favorites. Getting in at the Salt Pier was a little tricky and got a bit scraped up and a few people stepped on Urchins. We found when we went back that entering past the pier (coming from town) was a bit easier for everyone in the group. Part of the reason we loved the salt pier was the variety of life, the first time we saw some baby sea turtles and the second time we saw a group on 9 squid swimming around.

The reefs we saw were beautiful and we saw tons of great sea life. We saw a bunch of turtles and various eels. Buddy Dive resort was clean and very convenient for our scuba trip. The staff was great and ensured everything went well regardless of if we were diving off of a boat, shore diving or off the dock on the house reef. Definitely planning to head back at some point and most likely would stay with Buddy Dive again next time. If I did go back I'd book a few dives on the east side of the island where they have even more turtles and potentially some sharks and bigger sea life.
