Just got back from staying at Buddy Dive and diving the above dates. Buddy Dive Staff were very friendly and the drive-thru tank pick-up was really cool. We made 30 dives and dove 24 different sites. These included 10 boat dives generally around Klien. We made one dive at South Pink Beach that had strong currents. All others were slight to no current dives. Farthest north site was Karpata. Farthest south was Vista Blue. We dove Oil Slick as a day and a night dive. We did the Hilma Hooker as a boat dive, but that could have been done as a shore dive. Visibility was around 70-80' on the outer Klien sites, but 40-50 on the inner sites. We didn't dive anything between Buddy's Reef and The Lake. So, I don't know what vis was like closer in towards town. The last day 6/19, vis had reduced to 30' at Angel City and Witches Hut/Weber's Joy. I dove in coveralls instead of a wetsuit. Water temps were in the low 80's. The wind really blew the first part of the trip 15-25kts, calmed the mid part of the trip, and picked back up towards the end. Mosquitoes weren't that bad, but they were out in the evenings.
In the water we saw, manta ray, southern sting ray, eagle rays, dolphins, sea horses, scorpion fish, golden chain & spotted morays. (No big green morays). Lots of tropicals, 5'-6' Jewfish,
and lots of corals and sponges. We mostly cooked supper at home, ate breakfast at Buddy's Restaurant, and had PBJ for lunch or ate at their pool bar. There is a good ice cream store 100yds south of Buddy Dive.:D
