I'm just struck by the similarity with our experience. Here's what I said in my trip report for December '08:
"The Hilma Hooker was an experience, the biggest wreck we'd seen. A 130' freighter with its nose at just barely 100' and it's stern at 55' or so. We swam towards it per the briefing at about 70', looking for a boat. By the time we were close enough to resolve features and recognize it, we couldn't see it all, we had thought the dark shape ahead was the reef. Bam! And suddenly there's a wreck in front of us"
