I will clarify this before we deal with Satan..........

Travel for each of us is $333 + 30k CO miles. :blinking:

Janet and I are looking forward to diving with you two and introducing you to all the Austin peeps that are coming. I don't think any are UT people haha!

Wait.. Are there any caves on Bonaire, or sister alphabet Islands.. Cave Atlas time!

You're not gonna wake up and ask us to join you two for bloody marys on another island are you?

Mr. Cozumel... can now be Mr. Bonaire!! :D

P.S. - I have never been to Bonaire either so I couldn't be more excited for this trip... not to mention all the other AMAZING reasons why I wish it was June/13 already (hellllooooooo my wonderful peeps from Austin TX). However, the good thing I have learned from the past two Invasions I've been on is no matter how far away they seem to be at the start, they arrive with increasing speed as the first day approaches and then it seems there is NEVER enough time to get it all done. New dive treats purchased, packed, etc... better start now!! :)

My final question (for today anyway - LOL) is how many of us AWESOME CRAZY folk are staying 2 weeks?! Sounds like there are a few of us... so if you're planning on staying two weeks, it seems like staying the 2nd week is the most popular? That's when I have my tickets booked for so I hope that's what everyone else will do so we can extend this holiday as long as possible!

Cool! We are going to stay for 2 weeks this time too. I day before the Invasion to prepare for all you crazy guys and gals and then the rest of the week after to dive some more!

We made a decision last night!!! Gonna go from 17th-29th!! 2 adults and one 17 year old.

That's wonderful! I can't think of a better way to celebrate your birthday!

Not yet.. Air travel portion is taken care of and we'll be booking our rooms shortly. :cool2:

That's wonderful! It'll be a fantastic trip for your daughter and you!

I hear Texas Torpedo has lots of planes, but I don't think you folks can fit in them.
Plus he would want to pilot.:shocked2:

I would pay Tex DOUBLE what the airlines want if I could stand on the wing and skydive down to the hotel!

I'm thinking about it, but don't know for how long or where at. My extra time will most likely be before the Invasion, but I'm up in the air for either Bonaire, Aruba, or Curacao. I've never been to Curacao and I got certified in Aruba, I was thinking it would be really cool to dive again with my certifying instructor! If I do tack on another week... it would be primarily to do another course - got my eye on advanced nitrox & deco procedures. I've had enough of this 130' stuff - I need to spy with my own eye what lies at the bottom of the sea :D

We just dove Curacao in September. Recommend it highly. Some of the sites are just fantastic, by boat and by shore. Plus, the main city is very pretty with lots to do. IF you want advanced training either Curacao or Bonaire might offer more options than Aruba. Personally I don't like to train on a dive trip. Better to train beforehand and then you are ready when you get there. Much less stress. Plus, I don't know if the very advanced course you want can be completed in a short time.

Ok, so it looks like maybe a third of the group has signed up.

I keep talking it up to some of my non-SB diving friends, but I think they perceive June to be a long way off. It will be even further off if all the rooms are taken. IJS
