SCM,

All have commented well on Bonaire regarding dive sites. My 2 favs are Karpata (north) and Margate Bay (south). I also highly recommend that you not book boat dives, but arrange them when you get here. Klein is a definite, as well as Rappel.

Where are you staying in Aruba? Do they have a dive op? We normally stay at the Renassiance in town and use Red Sail Sports.

I haven't booked anything besides my airfare. Still looking into cost effective ways to do the rest.

Well, for Bonaire accommodations be sure to look into the Golden Reef Inn and give Liz a chance to earn your business - I don't think you'll regret it!

Cost effective ways...ok.

Aruba lodging is more expensive than lodging in Bonaire. If you are looking to do "cost effective", let me know what you are looking for in Aruba and Bonaire, I can point you in the right directions I hope.

Karpata, the Cliff and the invisibles were some of my favorites.
I think each are unique in their own way.
So many sites so little time!

Check Divearuba.com with Clive Paulus. He does two tank dives first on wrecks then a drift dive. The Jane sea wreck then Barcedera reef drift is about as good as it gets on Aruba. Clive is great with a max of 6 divers on his boat. You can see his dive schedule on his website.
