I've only been on one boat dive, and I got buddied up with another single diver. Luckily, he had a lot more experience and turned out to be a good diver. I learned a few things, and made sure we where always aware of each others location and status during the dives. We exchanged contact info at the end of the weekend and he stated that I was very adept at diving even at my current experience level and that he would gladly dive with me any time.

This was a good experience for me, but I can see how it can go either way. Sometimes you will get a good buddy, sometimes not.

I'm going into this with that that exact attitude. Hopefully I'll get lucky and find a good buddy. Maybe I won't. Either way, I plan on enjoying the great vis that Los Coronados are famous for and seeing some cool stuff.
