blurred wide angle shots

I have a AOI UWL-400A Wide-angle Lens, use with TG 6. I tried taking video/photo of sealions/sharks/wrecks with natural bright light condition, but what i notice is that my photo seems to be more blurry with the lens due to the distance. What exactly is wrong here?

This is an example with the wet lens, the distance is not too far

compare to this photo, where i did not use wet lens, but i feel the image is less blurry although the distance is wider
