We thought the Blue whales were just about done last weekend, but there are still a few hanging around. We took Bill and Suzy Macdonald, Akiko Kanna Jones, Patrick Smith and Cindy Shaw out in the worst possible conditions for whale watching. Steep waves, short intervals and wind kept us from getting close to the whales. We would spot a blow in the distance, but couldn't catch up before they would dive. We did get lucky by having a few come to us. Merry shot a few seconds of video between waves while I tried not to kill the most people we've had on the boat.
