Largest animal to have *ever* lived. I am glad they have made a comeback. They are pretty amazing animals, capable of speeds of up to 40mph I believe.
 
What's more amazing is the fact the ocean is the only enviroment capable of support an animal this size. A animal of that mass could not survive on dry land due to gravity and need of bone structure and muscle for it to walk.

You haven't been keeping up with paleontology, I presume? There's about half a dozen dinosaurs genera that are in the same weight class, or at least that of male blue whales. Those adult females, however, are heavier than sin.:butnhome:

We had more atmospheric oxygen during the Mesozoic, however. These piddly-butt elephants are terribly disappointing. :eyebrow:
