I didn’t quiet enjoy my dive at the Hulhumale - it was a sandy bottom and the dozens of stingrays feeding on the tuna heads stirred up a lot of muck and made the visibility murky and shadowy to less than 7mtrs. And then the Tiger Sharks arrived just as we were getting ready to leave and somewhat separated from each other … my heart was racing being in the low viz murky conditions and particularly tenacious and vicious apex predators swimming all around triggered by the tuna head food at the site … I felt like I could become food anytime if I wasn’t careful … and I actually got separated in the rush to regroup away from the feeding site as I turned 360 degrees to check if I was the last one around and a gentle invisible current pulled me away … I surfaced some 25mtrs away from the group much after everyone else and the relief in the dive guides voice as he shouted for me was palpable … LOL

This was our last dive from Blue-O-Two or BlueVoyager as it arrived at Hulhumale and we all disembarked the next day…

When the vis goes to nil, watch out! It’s time to get out of the water. Your fin would look like a filet-o-fish, as shown in the video, below.

Master Liveaboards are working on finding a replacement for our trip on that boat for 20 Feb - 4 Mar trip.
Not sure how big your group is or if you have any flexibility but our boat has some spots available Feb 11-21, 2025 on a Deep South (GAN-MLE), 10 night trip. Happy to share info if needed/interested!

Thanks for the offer. My group consists of 22 divers. We would need to charter a whole liveaboard.
