Blue Voyager Liveaboard
Maldives Far South Itinerary
February 20 - March 2, 2025 - 10 Nights

Blue_Voyager-01.png

Even by Maldives standards, this itinerary is something special. Diving around Huvhadoo, Fuvahmulah and Addu, the three southernmost atolls of the Maldives, you will dive on both sides of the Equator. Beautiful hard and soft coral reefs and vibrant marine life are waiting on almost every dive. Addu has arguably the best manta point in the Maldives as well as the largest shipwreck - the 140 metre WWII fuel tanker, British Loyalty. Then there's Fuvahmulah, where sightings of silver tips and tiger sharks are common. The currents can be strong on this itinerary, but the rewards are worth it! Typically 3 dives per day.

Included: Return shared transfers between the local airport and the liveaboard on embarkation and disembarkation days; Full board accommodation shared occupancy; Tea, coffee and drinking water; Up to 3 dives daily.

Excludes: Tiger Harbor fees; Maldives Green Fee; 16% GST; nitrox; alcoholic beverages.

Join our group for a special deal on this trip. Normally $3810 USD ppdo, now $3239 USD
Trip embarks and disembarks Kooddoo.

Huvadhoo

Huvadhoo Atoll, the world’s second-largest atoll, features a circular expanse with a deep central lagoon enclosed by reefs and coral islets. Its 40 reef segments create a diverse diving environment, teeming with marine life and vibrant corals, offering exceptional manta ray encounters and exciting drift dives.

Fuvahmulah Atoll

Situated within the Equatorial Channel between Huvadhoo and Addu, Fuvahmulah Atoll stands as a unique diving destination and is best known for frequent sightings of tiger sharks and silvertips, setting it apart from other dive sites in the Maldives.

Addu Atoll

Addu Atoll, known for year-round manta ray sightings, is also home to various sharks, turtles, and abundant marine life. Divers can explore the renowned WWII tanker, The British Loyalty, the Maldives’ largest shipwreck, for an enthralling diving experience.

See my post, below.

We are pretty much at the mercy of Master Liveaboards. The operator has charters they have to resolve that were to sail fairly soon, before our full boat charter in February. As with other operators that have had ships burn (Red Sea Aggressor 2019), they will most likely engage a replacement ship. We have not pressed Master because we realize they will do the best they can and they have had little time to react.

The usual response from the industry (airlines, liveaboards, resorts, etc) for clients is "did you buy travel insurance?" As Indiviiduals, we are responsible for buying or not buying travel coverage. This is the perfect example of why that coverage is always recommended.

From a legal standpoint, if a company cannot provide contracted services, customer may request and are entitled to a refund. In the case of the Red Sea ship, my divers elected for a credit that was valid for 24 months.

Unfortunately any compensation from Master would not include international or domestic airfare. Again we have the opportunity its to purchase refundable airfare. I expect the airline will offer changes for a fee if a traveler elects to cancel the trip. There may also be limited coverage provided by credit card companies.

It is too early to tell how this will play out but I will certainly post updates.

We have been notified today, November 18, that Master Liveaboards has secured a new ship launched in 2024, so this is truly a NEW ship. Our charter will sail as planned and we have 4 remaining berths on this beautiful ship.

We have shifted some cabin assignments on this Maldives trip and now have an upper deck SINGLE occupancy cabin available with NO single occupancy supplement. You will save more than $1200 USD on this last remaining space.

This trip is now fully booked with an add-on with Fuvahmulah Dive School. This group is ready for sharks..!
