Does anyone know if there's a way to check if Blue Springs is closed for diving because of manatees, aside from trying to call the park?

Thanks!

Hey Raystafarian

It's typical closing period during manatee season is mid-Nov thru Mar 15.

Cheers,

DocVikingo

Blue springs closed to swimming from Nov 15 to March 15.

DocV is correct and the March date changes based on what the park rangers see for how many manatee are still hanging around.

But Crystal River is already going off with populations of them this year and viz lately has been very good for photography. I like both Birds Underwater (https://www.birdsunderwater.com/) and American Pro Dive (Swim with manatees tour in Crystal River FL)

It's just as easy for a day trip as Blue Springs and like you, I'm in Orlando too.
